What is Neurowith-OD used for?
Neurowith-OD provides a combination of Methylcobalamin, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vitamin B6, Folic Acid and trace nutrients.
It may be prescribed as part of nutritional or supportive management when a healthcare professional considers these nutrients appropriate.
The formulation may provide support for:
- Vitamin B12 supplementation
- Normal nervous-system function
- Normal red-blood-cell formation
- Vitamin B6-dependent metabolic processes
- Folate-dependent cellular functions
- Antioxidant nutritional support through alpha lipoic acid
- Supplementation with zinc, selenium and chromium
Vitamin B12 plays an important role in the development, myelination and function of the central nervous system, as well as DNA synthesis and red-blood-cell formation.
Alpha Lipoic Acid and Neurological Support
Alpha lipoic acid has been investigated for diabetic neuropathy. Some reviews have reported possible reductions in neuropathic pain, while other studies have shown inconsistent results. Therefore, it should be considered a supportive component rather than a guaranteed treatment for neuropathy.
Key Ingredients in Neurowith-OD
Methylcobalamin 1500 mcg
Methylcobalamin is a metabolically active form of vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is required for normal nervous-system function, DNA synthesis and healthy red-blood-cell formation.
Vitamin B12 deficiency can be associated with fatigue, anaemia, numbness, tingling and other neurological changes. Neurological symptoms may occur even without anaemia.
Alpha Lipoic Acid 100 mg
Alpha lipoic acid is an antioxidant compound involved in cellular energy metabolism.
It has been studied for several conditions, including diabetic neuropathy. Evidence regarding its effectiveness for diabetic neuropathy is mixed, with some reviews finding symptom improvement and others finding no significant benefit.
Vitamin B6 – 3 mg
Vitamin B6 participates in numerous enzymatic reactions involved in amino-acid metabolism and normal physiological processes.
Folic Acid – 1.5 mg
Folic acid is involved in DNA synthesis and cellular metabolism and contributes to normal blood-cell formation.
Because this product contains 1.5 mg of folic acid, it should be used according to professional advice rather than combined unnecessarily with additional high-dose folic acid.
Zinc – 15 mg
Zinc is an essential mineral involved in numerous enzymatic processes, DNA and protein synthesis, cell signalling and normal immune function.
Selenium – 65 mcg
Selenium is a component of several selenoproteins involved in thyroid hormone metabolism, DNA synthesis and protection against oxidative damage.
Chromium – 60 mcg
Chromium is involved in carbohydrate, lipid and protein metabolism and has been investigated for its potential role in insulin action. However, evidence for chromium supplements in blood-glucose management remains inconsistent.
Biotin – 100 mcg
Biotin is a water-soluble B vitamin that functions as a cofactor for several enzymes involved in nutrient metabolism.
Inositol – 2 mg
Inositol is a naturally occurring compound involved in cellular signalling and phospholipid metabolism.

Methylcobalamin provides vitamin B12 needed for normal neurological and metabolic functions.
Nutritional Support for Nerve Function
Vitamin B12 and vitamin B6 contribute to normal nervous-system physiology.
Alpha Lipoic Acid Support
Provides 100 mg alpha lipoic acid, an antioxidant compound studied in relation to diabetic neuropathy symptoms.
Folate Support
Folic acid contributes to normal DNA synthesis and cellular metabolism.

Methylcobalamin → supports vitamin B12-dependent nervous-system and cellular functions.
Alpha Lipoic Acid → provides an antioxidant compound involved in cellular energy metabolism.
Vitamin B6 → participates in numerous enzyme-dependent metabolic reactions.
Folic Acid → contributes to DNA synthesis and folate metabolism.
Zinc → supports numerous enzymes, protein synthesis and cellular processes.
Selenium → contributes to antioxidant defence and thyroid hormone metabolism.
Chromium → participates in carbohydrate, lipid and protein metabolism.
Neurowith-OD Dosage & Administration
Take Neurowith-OD Softgel Capsules only according to the dosage prescribed by your doctor or healthcare professional.
General administration
- Swallow the softgel capsule with water.
- Do not crush or chew the capsule unless specifically instructed.
- Follow the prescribed frequency and duration.
- Do not take additional supplements containing the same ingredients without professional advice.
Although the brand name contains “OD,” the actual dosage and duration should follow the approved prescription/product directions rather than being assumed from the brand name.
Neurowith-OD Side Effects
Possible side effects may include:
- Nausea
- Stomach discomfort
- Heartburn
- Headache
- Vomiting
- Mild gastrointestinal discomfort
- Skin reactions or hypersensitivity, rarely
Alpha lipoic acid is commonly associated with gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea and heartburn in studies.
Excessive zinc intake can cause nausea, gastric distress, vomiting, headache and dizziness.
Seek medical attention if you develop a severe allergic reaction or significant unexpected symptoms.
Precautions and Warnings
Before taking Neurowith-OD, inform your doctor if you:
- Are allergic to any ingredient in the formulation.
- Have diabetes or problems with blood-glucose control.
- Have kidney or liver disease.
- Have diagnosed vitamin B12 or folate deficiency.
- Have persistent numbness, tingling, burning or weakness.
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Take prescription medicines regularly.
- Are already taking multivitamins, mineral supplements or other B12/folate products.
Diabetes Precaution
Because the formulation contains alpha lipoic acid and chromium, patients taking diabetes medicines should discuss its use with their healthcare professional. Chromium supplementation can potentially have an additive blood-glucose-lowering effect with insulin, metformin and other antidiabetic medicines.
Neurowith-OD Drug Interactions
Antidiabetic Medicines
Chromium supplements may interact with insulin, metformin and other antidiabetic medicines, potentially increasing the risk of low blood glucose.
Levothyroxine
Chromium may reduce the absorption of levothyroxine when taken at the same time. Patients taking levothyroxine should discuss appropriate separation of doses with their healthcare professional.
Antibiotics
Zinc can interact with quinolone and tetracycline antibiotics and may reduce absorption when taken simultaneously. Appropriate separation of administration may be required.
Metformin
Long-term metformin use can reduce vitamin B12 levels, making monitoring of B12 status relevant in some patients.
Always inform your doctor or pharmacist about all prescription medicines, OTC medicines and supplements you are taking.
Neurowith-OD During Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Pregnant or breastfeeding women should use Neurowith-OD only after consultation with a healthcare professional.
The formulation contains multiple vitamins and trace elements, including 1.5 mg folic acid, so total intake from other supplements should be considered to avoid unnecessary duplication.
Neurowith-OD Storage
- Store in a cool, dry place.
- Protect from excessive heat and moisture.
- Keep away from direct sunlight.
- Keep the softgels in the original blister packaging.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Follow the storage instructions printed on the product packaging.
