What is Neurowith-D used for?
Neurowith-D provides a combination of nutrients and alpha lipoic acid that may be prescribed when nutritional supplementation is required.
The formulation may be used as part of nutritional support for:
- Vitamin B12 supplementation
- Vitamin B6 and folate supplementation
- Maintaining normal nervous-system function
- Supporting normal red-blood-cell formation
- Supporting normal cellular metabolism
- Providing vitamin D3
- Nutritional support in patients where alpha lipoic acid is recommended by a healthcare professional
Vitamin B12 is required for the development and function of the nervous system, healthy red-blood-cell formation and DNA synthesis. B12 deficiency can cause neurological changes including numbness and tingling.
Alpha lipoic acid has been studied for diabetic neuropathy. Evidence from clinical studies is mixed, although some reviews have reported possible reductions in neuropathic pain.
Important: Neurowith-D should not be presented as a guaranteed treatment or cure for diabetic neuropathy or other nerve disorders. The appropriate treatment depends on the underlying cause and the patient’s clinical condition.
Key Ingredients in Neurowith-D
Methylcobalamin 1500 mcg
Methylcobalamin is one of the metabolically active forms of vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 supports normal nervous-system function, DNA synthesis and red-blood-cell formation.
A deficiency can be associated with fatigue, anaemia, numbness, tingling and other neurological changes.
Alpha Lipoic Acid 100 mg
Alpha lipoic acid is an antioxidant compound that has been investigated for several metabolic and neurological applications.
Research on alpha lipoic acid for diabetic neuropathy has produced mixed results. Some reviews suggest it may reduce neuropathic pain, while other evidence has not demonstrated consistent benefits.
Therefore, it is better to describe the ingredient as supportive/adjunctive rather than making a definitive treatment claim.
Pyridoxine HCl 3 mg
Pyridoxine hydrochloride is a form of vitamin B6. Vitamin B6 participates in numerous enzymatic reactions involved in normal metabolism and physiological functions.
Folic Acid 1.5 mg
Folic acid is a form of vitamin B9 and is involved in DNA synthesis and cellular metabolism. Folate also has an important role in normal blood-cell formation.
Because this product contains 1.5 mg (1500 mcg) of folic acid, it should be taken according to professional medical advice rather than combined routinely with additional high-dose folic acid.
Vitamin D3 1000 IU
Vitamin D helps the body absorb calcium and is important for normal bone and muscle function. It also has roles in the nervous and immune systems.
Benefits of Neurowith-D Tablets
Vitamin B12 Support
Methylcobalamin provides vitamin B12 needed for normal nervous-system function, DNA synthesis and red-blood-cell formation.
Alpha Lipoic Acid Support
Provides 100 mg alpha lipoic acid as part of the formulation. Alpha lipoic acid has been investigated for symptoms associated with diabetic neuropathy.
Vitamin B6 Support
Pyridoxine contributes to normal vitamin B6-dependent metabolic processes.
Folate Support
Folic acid contributes to DNA synthesis and normal cellular metabolism.
Vitamin D3 Support
Vitamin D contributes to calcium absorption and normal bone and muscle function.
How Neurowith-D Works
Neurowith-D combines several ingredients with different physiological roles:
Methylcobalamin → supports B12-dependent neurological and metabolic functions.
Alpha Lipoic Acid → provides an antioxidant compound that has been investigated for diabetic neuropathy symptoms.
Pyridoxine → participates in vitamin B6-dependent enzymatic reactions.
Folic Acid → participates in DNA synthesis and folate-dependent metabolism.
Vitamin D3 → supports calcium absorption and normal bone and muscle function.
Vitamin B12 has a particularly important role in nervous-system development and function.
Neurowith-D Dosage & Administration
Take Neurowith-D Tablets according to the dosage prescribed by your doctor or healthcare professional.
General administration
- Swallow the tablet with water.
- Follow the prescribed dose and duration.
- Do not exceed the recommended dose.
- Do not combine it with multiple vitamin or nutritional supplements without professional advice.
The appropriate treatment duration depends on the patient’s condition, nutritional status and reason for supplementation.
Neurowith-D Side Effects
Possible side effects may include:
- Nausea
- Stomach discomfort
- Heartburn
- Headache
- Vomiting
- Mild gastrointestinal discomfort
Alpha lipoic acid has been associated with headache, heartburn, nausea and vomiting in clinical research.
If you experience a severe allergic reaction or significant unusual symptoms, discontinue the product and seek medical advice.
Precautions and Warnings
Before taking Neurowith-D, inform your doctor if you:
- Have an allergy to any ingredient.
- Have diabetes or problems with blood-glucose control.
- Have diagnosed vitamin B12 or folate deficiency.
- Have persistent numbness, tingling or weakness.
- Have kidney or other chronic medical conditions.
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Take medicines regularly.
- Are already taking vitamin B12, folic acid, vitamin D or other nutritional supplements.
Special precaution with folic acid
This formulation contains 1.5 mg folic acid. High folate intake can correct the anaemia associated with vitamin B12 deficiency without correcting the neurological damage caused by B12 deficiency, which is why appropriate assessment of B12 status is important when clinically indicated.
Neurowith-D Drug Interactions
Diabetes Medicines
Alpha lipoic acid has been studied in people with diabetes. Because blood-glucose management is clinically important, patients taking glucose-lowering medicines should discuss alpha lipoic acid supplementation with their healthcare professional.
Metformin
Long-term metformin use can reduce vitamin B12 levels. Patients taking metformin may therefore require monitoring of vitamin B12 status where clinically appropriate.
Acid-Suppressing Medicines
Long-term use of some acid-suppressing medicines can interfere with vitamin B12 absorption from food.
Vitamin D Interactions
Vitamin D supplements can interact with certain medicines, including thiazide diuretics, steroids and some cholesterol-lowering medicines.
Always tell your doctor or pharmacist about all prescription medicines, OTC medicines and supplements you use.
Neurowith-D During Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Pregnant and breastfeeding women should use Neurowith-D only after consultation with a healthcare professional.
This is particularly relevant because the formulation contains 1.5 mg of folic acid, which is considerably higher than routine nutritional amounts used for the general population.
Neurowith-D Storage
- Store in a cool and dry place.
- Protect from moisture and excessive heat.
- Keep away from direct sunlight.
- Keep the tablets in their original packaging.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Follow the storage instructions printed on the product pack.
