Product Description

UlciSpore® Tablets – Riboflavin, Folic Acid, Niacinamide & Lactic Acid Bacillus

UlciSpore® Mouth Ulcer Tablets by Amcare Pharmaceuticals contain a combination of Riboflavin 10 mg, Folic Acid 1.5 mg, Niacinamide 100 mg and Lactic Acid Bacillus 60 million spores per film-coated tablet.

The formulation combines B-group vitamins with a probiotic component and is positioned for nutritional and supportive management associated with mouth ulcers. Nutritional deficiencies, including folate and vitamin B12 deficiency, can be associated with recurrent oral ulceration, while evidence on probiotics in recurrent aphthous stomatitis is still developing.

What is UlciSpore® used for?

UlciSpore® Tablets are formulated to provide riboflavin, folic acid, niacinamide and lactic acid bacillus.

They may be recommended by a healthcare professional as part of supportive management when nutritional supplementation is considered appropriate for patients experiencing mouth ulcers.

Mouth ulcers can have multiple causes. Recurrent aphthous stomatitis may be associated with nutritional deficiencies, local factors and systemic conditions. An Indian expert consensus recommends considering investigations such as CBC, vitamin B12 and iron studies in recurrent cases.

UlciSpore® may provide:

  • Riboflavin supplementation
  • Folic acid supplementation
  • Niacinamide supplementation
  • Probiotic supplementation
  • Nutritional support during recurrent mouth-ulcer episodes
  • Support where a nutritional deficiency contributes to oral ulceration

Important: Not every mouth ulcer is caused by vitamin deficiency. Persistent, unusually large, frequently recurring or non-healing ulcers require medical or dental evaluation.

Key Ingredients in UlciSpore®

Riboflavin 10 mg

Riboflavin, also known as vitamin B2, is a water-soluble B vitamin involved in energy metabolism and normal cellular function.

It contributes to normal metabolism and maintenance of body tissues.

Folic Acid 1.5 mg

Folic acid is a form of vitamin B9 involved in DNA synthesis, cell division and normal blood-cell formation.

Folate deficiency can be associated with oral manifestations, and nutritional deficiencies are considered during evaluation of recurrent aphthous ulcers.

Because UlciSpore contains 1.5 mg of folic acid, additional high-dose folic acid should not be taken routinely without professional advice.

Niacinamide 100 mg

Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3. Vitamin B3 participates in cellular energy metabolism and numerous enzymatic reactions.

The 100 mg strength is substantially above ordinary dietary requirements, so the product should be used according to the prescribed or approved dosage.

Lactic Acid Bacillus – 60 Million Spores

Lactic Acid Bacillus provides a probiotic component.

Research has investigated probiotics as supportive therapy for recurrent aphthous stomatitis. A systematic review and meta-analysis found that some probiotic studies reported reductions in oral pain, but effects on ulcer severity were inconsistent.

A randomized controlled trial also reported improvements in pain and some healing outcomes with probiotic lozenges in recurrent aphthous stomatitis.

Therefore, it is appropriate to describe the probiotic component as supportive, rather than claiming that it independently cures mouth ulcers.

Benefits of UlciSpore® Tablets

Nutritional Support

Provides riboflavin, folic acid and niacinamide in a single tablet.

Probiotic Support

Contains 60 million Lactic Acid Bacillus spores.

Support During Recurrent Mouth Ulcers

The formulation combines vitamins and a probiotic component that may be used as part of supportive management when clinically appropriate.

Convenient Tablet Form

Film-coated tablets provide a convenient oral dosage form.

Combination Formulation

UlciSpore® combines:

Riboflavin + Folic Acid + Niacinamide + Lactic Acid Bacillus

in one tablet.

How UlciSpore® Works

UlciSpore® contains ingredients with different physiological roles.

Riboflavin → contributes to normal energy metabolism and cellular function.

Folic Acid → supports DNA synthesis and cell division.

Niacinamide → participates in energy metabolism and normal cellular reactions.

Lactic Acid Bacillus → provides a probiotic component that has been investigated for potential supportive effects in recurrent aphthous stomatitis. Evidence remains mixed and formulation-specific.

UlciSpore® Dosage & Administration

Take UlciSpore® Tablets according to the dosage prescribed by your doctor or healthcare professional.

General administration

  • Swallow the tablet with water.
  • Follow the prescribed frequency and duration.
  • Do not exceed the recommended dose.
  • Do not take additional high-dose vitamin supplements without professional advice.

The exact duration of treatment should depend on the severity, frequency and underlying cause of the mouth ulcers.

UlciSpore® Side Effects

Possible side effects may include:

  • Nausea
  • Mild stomach discomfort
  • Bloating
  • Headache
  • Gastrointestinal discomfort

Probiotic products can occasionally cause temporary gastrointestinal symptoms.

Niacinamide is generally better tolerated than high-dose nicotinic acid because it does not typically cause the same flushing reaction associated with nicotinic acid.

If you develop a severe allergic reaction or significant unexpected symptoms, stop using the product and seek medical advice.

Precautions and Warnings

Before using UlciSpore®, inform your healthcare professional if you:

  • Have an allergy to any ingredient.
  • Have recurrent or persistent mouth ulcers.
  • Have unexplained anaemia.
  • Have a diagnosed vitamin deficiency.
  • Have liver or kidney disease.
  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Are taking other vitamin or mineral supplements.
  • Are taking prescription medicines regularly.

Persistent Mouth Ulcers

Most ordinary mouth ulcers heal within a relatively short period. A mouth ulcer that does not heal, repeatedly returns, becomes unusually large or is associated with other symptoms should be assessed by a dentist or doctor.

Recurrent aphthous stomatitis has multiple potential causes, and expert consensus recommends appropriate clinical assessment and nutritional investigations in recurrent cases.

UlciSpore® Drug Interactions

Because UlciSpore® contains multiple vitamins and a probiotic rather than a conventional single drug, major interactions are not expected in most people when used appropriately.

However, tell your healthcare professional about all medicines and supplements you are taking.

Other Vitamin Supplements

Avoid unnecessarily combining UlciSpore® with other products containing high amounts of:

  • Folic acid
  • Niacinamide
  • Riboflavin
  • Other B vitamins

This is particularly relevant because UlciSpore contains 100 mg niacinamide and 1.5 mg folic acid per tablet.

Antibiotics

If you are taking antibiotics, discuss probiotic use with your healthcare professional. Depending on the specific probiotic strain and antibiotic, separation of administration may sometimes be recommended.

UlciSpore During Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a healthcare professional before using UlciSpore.

The product contains 1.5 mg folic acid and 100 mg niacinamide, so total vitamin intake from other supplements should be considered.

Do not use multiple high-dose vitamin products simultaneously unless recommended by your healthcare professional.

UlciSpore® Storage

  • Store in a cool and dry place.
  • Protect from moisture.
  • Keep away from direct sunlight.
  • Store below the temperature specified on the approved product label.
  • Keep the tablets in their original blister packaging.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

Because the product contains Lactic Acid Bacillus spores, follow the storage conditions printed on the approved pack carefully.
